Joseph Sears School Board – Four openings with four-year terms

The School Board is a seven-member elected body, which is responsible for the general oversight of Kenilworth School District No. 38.  Elected members enact and review school policy, appoint and oversee the Superintendent, approve all school hiring, adopt the annual budget, oversee and approve all finances and negotiate teacher contracts when applicable.  Board meetings are generally held the third Monday of each month. In addition, members chair or serve on two board committees and act as representatives to other community or school related organizations (e.g. JSSPVA, Booster Club, NSSED, etc.).

Kenilworth Village Board – President, Clerk and Three Trustee openings all with four-year terms

Trustees will chair one committee and serve as a member of two other board sub-committees. Average time commitment is 15-20 hours per month. Board meetings are held the third Monday of each month.

Kenilworth Park Board – Three openings with four-year terms                                                 

Members oversee parklands, activity programs, the Village House, and now the Kenilworth Club. Members act as the village liaisons to the Kenilworth garden clubs. Board meetings are at 5:30 p.m., the second Thursday of each month.

Kenilworth Library Board – Four openings with four-year terms

Members oversee delivery of library services, approve the budget, hold truth and taxation hearings, and levy the district taxes. Approximately five meetings are held per year. The meetings are held in April, June, July, September, and October; summer availability is important.
